Tilak Maharashtra Vidyalaya is located at Mukundnagar, Gultekdi, Pune which follows the CBSE curriculum. We at Tilak Maharashtra Vidyalaya aim at academic excellence, moral leadership and unity in diversity. Experiential learning is our focus of teaching learning process. A good balance between academics and activities keeps the learners enthusiastic and active. Activities that ignite and empower young minds are conducted. The Staff of the school is striving hard for the holistic development of students who will not only be good at academics but an excellent human being working towards the growth of our country. “Children are like wet cement whatever falls on them makes an impression.” And here at T.M.V we imprint morality, self discipline and courteousness. Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune, Deemed University, in its glorious and committed history of 98 years has held its commitment to excellence in education, research and outreach paramount for development of Nation. TMV has made relentless efforts in imparting ancient knowledge of India alongside the new technological advancements. As the present custodian of this premier university, TMV is an honest reflection of our efforts in maintaining and enhancing quality and transparency in our programmes, processes and their implementations. The trust, from me to me has recognized the demands created by a fast advancing technological world and has heeded to them by strategizing a plan that incorporated the industry's best practices. The last five years have witnessed an expansion in the infrastructure, technology, courses and research activities. There has been substantial progress on all fronts. Vidyapeeth has designed systems that are participative, proactive, and transparent and research oriented. During last few years TMV Trust have extended their acvies introducing English Medium School, Physiotherapy Colleges at Kharghar and Pune & Nursing College at Pune and Solapur affiliated to Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) Nashik and Skill Development Programmes. I dutifully acknowledge and appreciate the whole hearted efforts of all the Trustees, experts, deans and Head of the departments, faculty members and administrative staff. Their dedicated efforts for achieving high quality in education will help to achieve the ultimate goal of national education. I believe this transformation of knowledge and our strong cultural roots will help to achieve Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar's dream of a strong and modern India. We do not want our students to operate only in a robotic manner but we want them independent thinker, we also want them to have a humanitarian approach, a flexible accommodative attitude and a strong spirit of nationalism and a strong drive to contribute to their motherland.

Warm Greetings to everyone! It is indeed an honour for all of us to be associated with Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth , an Institution that has completed a glorious journey of 100 years. This Vidyapeeth was inititated as a memorial for Lokmanya Tilak. The school likes to echo the philosophy propagated by Lokmanya Tilak. Lokmanya Tilak always envisioned a modern, progressive and Independent India. He promoted the spirit of self reliance among the citizens of our nation. Even in Pre Independence times, Lokmanya Tilak strongly believed that formal education and indigenous industries would be the key to the liberation and independence of the Indian citizen. Lokmanya Tilak believed in a holistic approach for the progress of our nation. He believed that focussing on skill development would lead to employability for our citizens which would subsequently lead to self reliance and help to build a strong, modern and progressive nation. In order to support this agenda, Lokmanya Tilak proposed the four fold program for our Nation. It consisted of Swarajya, Swadeshi, Boycott and National Education. Lokmanya began his strife for National Education through various activities. He founded the New English School and the Deccan Education Society. To make the people self reliant, he started a co operative movement and started a glass factory in Talegaon near Pune. This enabled to generate employment for the people which was a step closer towards building a stronger nation. Along with academic strength, Lokmanya Tilak believed in physical capability also. He believed that a strong mind needs to be supported by a strong physical body so that one can achieve success in whatever goal they have set for themselves. During his college years, Lokmanya Tilak realised that he was not as physically fit as was required for carrying out travel and other activities required for the Independence movement. He decided to work on his weakness dedicatedly. He then took one year off from his studies and practiced a strict physical fitness regimen during that time. His dedication paid off and at the end of one year, it is said that he could swim one length of the river while holding a stack of rotis in one hand. At Tilak Maharashtra Vidyalaya, we mirror Lokmanyas Philosophy for holistic development and high quality education. The Vidyalaya too lays strong emphasis on the overall development of the child and aims to provide strong, intelligent and capable citizens for our country. .
